I started making these little plastic stud earrings. I love them! They are so fun and cute to wear. You can find them soon at my Etsy shop which is now open again with my newly revamped My Hmongy Pillows. Check it out. 🙂
Thank you everyone for participating in the Mystery Giveaway on Facebook and congrats to Ko Lo Her for winning the drawing. So what is this mystery prize???
I’m happy to share with you the new pillow to my Hmongy collection. This makes pillow number 5 for the girls and number 6 overall. The boy version definitely is outnumbered and needs to pick up the pace!
Last year when I started on my little Hmongy collection, I knew I wanted to make this pillow however I held it off for so long because it was difficult for me. After talking to my sister-in-law and having her request this pillow a few months ago I knew it was time to pick up on my slack. ^_^ So thanks sis! I will be adding this pillow to my Etsy shop, so check it out!
Thank you again everyone and here it is!
Have a wonderful day!
Very strange. I turned my sewing machine on the other night and it worked perfectly again, I don’t get it. I guess it just needed some alone time. ^_^ Lol.
I wish I knew more about fabrics and their names. I purchased 2 yards of fabric from Wal Mart late last year to make my Caydi Doll and I’m out. Wal Mart appears to be out too but I keep going back to check hoping they will have it again. The thing is I don’t know what this fabric I’m looking for is called. I tried searching for the same fabric in a different color but get nothing! Maybe I’m just overlooking it all but so far no luck. A few weeks ago I was very confident it was charmeuse and order a whole whopping 10 yards of it online only to find out it was too thin and overly shiny. x.x Maybe I’ll experiment with it someday for other things though. I also made a trip to JoAnns and could not find an alternate fabric to do the job. It seems as this fabric I am looking for just disappeared. Maybe I am just being too picky but it is making me sad. >.<
Anyway I have been working on a new design for my little Hmongy pillows and I think I’m wrapping up on it soon. Maybe I’ll have it to share in the next few weeks!?
Have a great day!
Long time no see! >_< Even though I’ve not been updating my blog I have been working on a few things! 🙂 I finished my second Hmong shirt. I made it MUCH longer this time compare to my first one. I hope you like!
I’m very much in love with this fabric that I purchased at Minh Phat Fabrics in Sacramento. So shiny. *_* I showed this shirt to my Mother in Law and she gave me a extra dabtsov or flap thing in the back of the shirt to use. 😀 I will definitely use it for my next shirt! Although I did start to wonder why Hmong shirts have the dabtsov on the back. My Mother in Law says it’s just for decoration but do any of you know if there’s a meaning for it? Would love to know if there is!
Before I left for California, I had been working on my new scarf collection incorporating some Hmong designs. I made one scarf and was planning to give it to my Grandma, which I did! Unfortunately, I don’t know what I was thinking and didn’t give it to her when we were together in CA so I don’t have any pictures of her wearing it. I gave it to my Dad to drop it by her place since I was leaving for home soon already. I hope she likes it. She said it was a little thin, which it is; however I don’t think she knew it is more for good looks. Lol. ❤ Grandma.
Anyway more to the scarves, I am working on them some more, trying to find what works and what not. I have two made at the moment, I just need to finish the stringy things at the end. I plan on listing these two at my Etsy shop once they are completed. 🙂
Don’t think I forgot about my sweet little Caydi! I am planning her next little collection piece as well for November which I will be focusing on this coming week. I can’t believe there’s only this month and December left to go for my Caydi Doll Collection. I feel like I was just creating her yesterday!
I also finished the next piece to my Love Noms Noms collection and will plan to share it once I get a few others done too.
So many projects and things I want to do! ^_^ Have a sweet day WordPressers!
I have been having so much fun making these rings. I got done with the Hmong ones today and currently planning on some different designs. Very excited and hope to share more soon.
Available at my Etsy store for purchase if interested. Good night!….or Good morning!
I believe I am done with my “revamping” of my Hmong pillows. 🙂 I actually didn’t do much, lol. I redesign my Stripes Hat and renamed it Red Roses. I added some beads and coins to her as well since she looked very plain originally. I have taken away the cotton backing and added satin to create a more unique feel and shine to the back. All the faces now has a small shimmer too. The tag in the back is no longer printed on but sewn on with my own handwriting print. >=D For now I only have the Mini versions completed but my 15x15s will essentially be the same thing…just bigger.
The 15x15s at Etsy will be updated at a future time, however the Mini HPs are already up and available for purchase.
Here are the only images I have at the moment. Better pictures soon, I promise. 🙂
OH! One last thing, the other day I broke my printer and the following morning I broke my iron too! For a second I thought I was a walking disease and wonder what was my next target. ;O Lol, see ya later WordPressers!
For some reason our backyard has so many rabbits that they inspired me to create my own bunny design. WordPressers, I present to you Caydi Bunny plush!
I actually worked on these all day yesterday and some today. Took me quite a while…I was up to 3am just making these and I still wasn’t done. Well they are done now and I’m very please to share them! These Caydi Bunnies are approximately 5.5x2x4.5 inches and made from minky fabric with a bit of felt. I hope you like them! Find them at my Etsy shop for purchase.
I also now have mini 8×8 pillows of my Hmong Collection also listed at my Etsy shop.
Good night WordPressers!
