Before I share updates on a project I’ve been working on, I just wanted to let everyone know I will no longer be using the name Crafted Cuteness to go by. After searching Crafted Cuteness on Google and Etsy, I came upon an absolute sweet little shop with the same name and with that being said I am switching back to what originally started it all for me, my little Caydi Doll. ❤ Please check out her Etsy shop, she creates and patterns her very own amigurumi dolls and they are indeed full of cuteness!
Alrighty! So I’ve been working on a project collection called “Love Noms Noms”. It is a collection of some enjoyable foods I like. Oh yes, here I go with food again. 😀 Lol. I plan to have the very first two ready to share by the end of next week! Super excited and can’t wait! That’s all for now! >=D Have a great day!
The Hmong New Years are still months away but Caydi is ready to dress up for them!
Caydi’s outfit here is a “sneak peek” to some other ideas I have coming up. I have so many ideas and projects that I’m sure you are confused with what’s what! I’m sorry! >.< I’m also planning on making Cubli some clothing too, he looks so cold! Lol.
As mention in my last post I bought a dress form and have decided to name her Nicci. It’s been fun having Nicci! She’s a great model and here she is with a skirt I sewed.
This skirt was again Hmong inspired and took me two days to finish. I used four and a half yard of fabric on it. I went to Wal-Mart yesterday hoping to get more of the same fabric to make the skirt a bit more poufy but could not find it at all! I was very disappointed but it’s okay, Wal-Mart hasn’t been very reliable for me as far as fabrics. >.< I came home and decided to just space the pleats out. Instead of using a set waist measurement I did the wrap technique which is how Hmong skirts usually come. I’m very happy with it but am planning on making another one soon and this time I have enough fabric. 😉
Hope you like the new updates. 🙂 Have a great day!
As mentioned in previous postings I had a lot of trouble completing June’s collection but today I worked on it and here it is! WordPressers I present to you, Fantastic Caydi! It is inspired by Big Bang’s Fantastic Baby song. I don’t know much about the Big Bang band but I enjoy listening to some of their music. Their songs usually puts me in a dance mood and helps me shake while I sew. I have Caydi wearing a band hat which TOP, a member of the band has worn in some music videos. *_* I plan to hang this on my naked walls in my sewing room to give it a little color. *_* Hope you all enjoy.
Speaking of band hats, I also made my stuff rhino, Rawr Rhino a band hat a while back and thought this would be a great time to share him as well! P.S. Ignore the tape. =D Rhino was purchased here.
I believe I am done with my “revamping” of my Hmong pillows. 🙂 I actually didn’t do much, lol. I redesign my Stripes Hat and renamed it Red Roses. I added some beads and coins to her as well since she looked very plain originally. I have taken away the cotton backing and added satin to create a more unique feel and shine to the back. All the faces now has a small shimmer too. The tag in the back is no longer printed on but sewn on with my own handwriting print. >=D For now I only have the Mini versions completed but my 15x15s will essentially be the same thing…just bigger.
The 15x15s at Etsy will be updated at a future time, however the Mini HPs are already up and available for purchase.
Here are the only images I have at the moment. Better pictures soon, I promise. 🙂
OH! One last thing, the other day I broke my printer and the following morning I broke my iron too! For a second I thought I was a walking disease and wonder what was my next target. ;O Lol, see ya later WordPressers!
In my last post I mention I was planning on creating a small framed illustration of Caydi for my June craft/artwork however after multiple runs trying to get a FANTASTIC print, I broke my printer. T_T Poor printer, you’ve done a great job for the past three years! Rest now! ❤
So I’m currently in the process of looking for a new printer and considering it might be awhile before I buy one I’ve decided again to change my idea up!!! Ahh!!! =D
Hope all is well, good night WordPressers!
For some reason our backyard has so many rabbits that they inspired me to create my own bunny design. WordPressers, I present to you Caydi Bunny plush!
I actually worked on these all day yesterday and some today. Took me quite a while…I was up to 3am just making these and I still wasn’t done. Well they are done now and I’m very please to share them! These Caydi Bunnies are approximately 5.5x2x4.5 inches and made from minky fabric with a bit of felt. I hope you like them! Find them at my Etsy shop for purchase.
I also now have mini 8×8 pillows of my Hmong Collection also listed at my Etsy shop.
Good night WordPressers!
