I have been having so much fun making these rings. I got done with the Hmong ones today and currently planning on some different designs. Very excited and hope to share more soon.
Available at my Etsy store for purchase if interested. Good night!….or Good morning!
After planning on them for the past few months, I believe I am finally ready to share my Hmong pillows. I made three pillows representing my favorite Hmong hats. Although not exactly true to the real thing, anyone can probably pick out the resemblance. I’m so tickle to have these pillows completed and shared on here. Here they are!
These pillows are also at my Etsy shop.
There is one more hat I would like to add to the collection so I might have another update on these later on in the month. I hope you enjoy these pillows!
I was also viewing my Hmong clothing this morning and admiring all the detail work my mom had put time into making. It’s amazing how there are so many little hand stitches! I don’t have the patience for it and for the past few years I’ve tried making my very own Hmong outfit multiple times but it never goes well. I wish I would have paid more attention to my mom when she was teaching us girls how to sew and cross stitch! If she were closer, I’d bug her to teach me again. If anyone has tips in making traditional Hmong clothing, I’d love to hear em! Thank you!
I’ve been planning my Hmong pillows for awhile now and I think I’m almost done with them. I know I get excited about a lot of things, but I am REALLY excited about these. One of the reasons why is because all my pillow ideas actually originated from them.
You might be wondering “Hmong? What is that?” My background is Hmong and honestly…I don’t even know where to start if I’m going to try and explain, so I won’t. 🙂 There has even been numerous times in the past where I even went to Google for help trying to learn more about my culture. *Chuckle* So instead of explaining I will be designing simple pillows incorporating my culture into them. Hope to have them posted soon. 🙂
