I started making these little plastic stud earrings. I love them! They are so fun and cute to wear. You can find them soon at my Etsy shop which is now open again with my newly revamped My Hmongy Pillows. Check it out. 🙂
It’s already February! :O
Anyway, I announced the winners for my last giveaway a week ago on Facebook but wanted to share the two pillow designs the winners received. I hope they like them!
The first pillow was used for the Happy Birthday Giveaway and the second pillow was used for a “Side” drawing which I decided to do for a small amount of people on Facebook.
These pillows will also be available at my Etsy shop by late March if you like them! 🙂 Have a great night!
If you read this blog entry here, you’ll see a piece of digital art I created back in 2006. In that entry I talked about Elly. Who is Elly? o_O? Hmm, well before there was Caydi or Cayla there was Elly! All these names are starting to confuse me. Haha! Anyway, I’m very thrilled to share with you all Elly. That’s right, I made her into a real doll!
Here’s what she looked like on paper. 🙂
And here she is, ready to wish you a Merry Christmas.
I started working on Elly during Summer but with other personal life goals I set her aside and just recently pulled her out. When I saw her, I knew I couldn’t leave her unfinished. I have too many unfinished projects and I didn’t want her to be one of them. I hope you like her.
My doll making process has been difficult, I keep trying to find better ways and techniques to do things but I think I got a pretty good start so far. 🙂 All my dolls that I’ve made, they sure put a smile on my face. I hope you like them. Have a wonderful night.
A year ago today I created Caydi Doll and took on the adventure of sewing and crafts. Thank you everyone for all the support and words of encouragement!
Happy Birthday Caydi Doll!
I’m doing a small giveaway on my CaydiDoll Facebook Page for 2013. It will be a random drawing for three winners. First placed will get this lovely “Nyob Zoo” 15×15 pillow which means “Hello” in Hmong to welcome 2013! Second and third place winners will receive my “Nerdy Caydi” mini pillow. Ends January 31st, 2013. Check it out here.
*UPDATE* New end date: January 11th 2013.
Call me crazy but after looking at Caydi’s doll shirt for awhile I wanted to make one for me. What in the world huh? 😛
It isn’t as puffy and flowy as I’d like it to be but it’s no problem, I like it! I am still not very good at sewing clothing and so I sort of just made a big square and did what I could. ^^ I have been practicing zippers and it’s stressful. x.x I’m sure I am doing it wrong!
I hope everyone is having a good start to 2013, make it worthwhile because I’m sure it will fly right by! Early last year I was so excited about the year itself because it was the year of the Dragon, my year! Everything just felt so right and I wanted to take off in a different direction. I decided to dedicated my time into my pillows and reflecting back I am very proud of what I accomplished. A big thank you to everyone who supported me! For 2013, I plan on adding more designs to my CaydiDoll pillows and also random sewings that I will share, umhmm like that one above. Lol.
One more thing, last year I did a monthly collection piece of Caydi and I’m unsure if I will continue to do it, but will definitely still be making projects of her.
Have a great year!
I’ve been missing for awhile I know! I’m sorry. 🙂 I feel working night shift is definitely taking a toll on my body…
The two scarves I mentioned in my last post are finished and I’d like to share them. They are also listed at my Etsy shop if anyone is interested in purchasing. Here they are!
If some of you remember my “Nerdy Caydi” for my October collection I actually retouch some bits and pieces and made it into a digital print.
I hope you like her! This pillow is also listed at my Etsy shop too.
I will be doing a small giveaway with Nerdy Caydi on my Facebook Page once I hit 100 “likes”, and if you’d like a chance to get this new Nerdy Caydi, keep an eye out on my page to learn further information.
Have a great day!
